Tilting trampoline
The invention relates to a trampoline, comprising: - an undercarriage; - a frame attached to the frame; and - a jumping surface attached to the frame.
Such trampolines are used for sports, including competitions, training but also for relaxation. Such trampolines have an application at all sorts of locations, such as in gyms and sports halls.
Such trampolines are often large or heavy. As a result, it can be uncomfortable and labor-intensive to install such a trampoline before use or to store it after use. Once stored, such trampolines often take up more space than strictly necessary. It is also possible that in the stowed state in a storage room for such a trampoline other equipment is placed. As a result, commissioning of the trampoline can be further complicated at a later time.
Moreover, such trampolines can only be used in a limited number of positions or even in only one position. However, for certain applications, such as, for example, tricking, it is desirable to be able, for example, to adjust the angle of the jumping surface variably or continuously. In that case it is often necessary to place the trampoline partially on or on other objects. This is uncomfortable and undesirable, among other things because it can reduce the stability and thus the safety of the use of the trampoline.
It is now an object of the invention to reduce or even prevent the abovementioned disadvantages.
This object is achieved according to the invention with a trampoline according to the preamble, which is characterized in that the frame is mounted on the chassis for tilting about at least one tilt axis.
Because the jumping surface is attached to the frame, it is possible to tilt the jumping surface by tilting the frame. In this way exercises can also be performed on such a trampoline for which such an angle is desired or required.
For easy tilting it is possible that the trampoline is provided with gripping means, such as handles. These can for instance be arranged on the frame or any (hinged) legs.
In a preferred embodiment, the frame is tiltable between a horizontal and a vertical position.
When the frame, and therefore the jumping surface, is in the horizontal position, the trampoline can be used for the currently most common applications for a trampoline in a horizontal position.
When the frame is subsequently brought into the vertical position, the trampoline can be stored in such a position. The trampoline can then also serve other functions, for example as a partition.
In a preferred embodiment the trampoline comprises locking means, for locking the trampoline in one of both positions, as well as at least one position between one of the two positions.
By providing the trampoline with locking means, it is possible to lock the trampoline in a certain position between the horizontal position and the vertical position. As a result of gravity, but also as a result of the use of the trampoline, the trampoline will tend to move towards the horizontal position without the use of locking means.
The locking serves two purposes: on the one hand to secure the frame in use in a certain position between the horizontal position and the vertical position, and on the other hand to secure the frame in vertical position when not in use. It is possible that different requirements are set for the purposes of the type and nature of the lock. It is therefore also possible for a different lock to be provided for each purpose.
In a preferred embodiment the chassis comprises: - vertical guides arranged on either side of the tilting axis for guiding the tilting axis in the vertical direction; and - at least two legs arranged pivotally on the frame opposite the vertical conductors.
Such a chassis ensures that the trampoline is supported in any position where the trampoline is connected to a bottom surface, such as a ground.
At the first edge of the frame, the vertical guides on the tilting axis of the trampoline provide the support for the frame. Opposite to these guides, two legs are provided on the frame for further support.
Because conductors are arranged here on the one hand and the legs are hinged at a distance therefrom, it is hereby possible to tilt the frame with the aid of the conductors. Because the legs are hinged to the frame, they will ensure the contact of the trampoline with the bottom surface.
Preferably both the legs and the vertical guides are arranged on opposite edges of the frame, so as to improve the stability of the frame and thus the trampoline and to increase the ease of use for tilting the frame.
The guides can consist of guide tracks, but can also consist entirely or partially of at least one wall and means, such as rolling means, for guiding the frame along this wall.
In a further preferred embodiment the chassis further comprises: - a control rod, hinged at one end to at least one of the legs; and - an auxiliary rod, with one end pivotally arranged at the other end of the control rod, wherein one end of the auxiliary rod is guided in the adjacent guide and wherein the other end of the auxiliary rod is pivotally mounted on the frame.
This ensures that the legs are tilted simultaneously by tilting the frame. This ensures optimum contact with the bottom surface.
In a preferred embodiment, the trampoline further comprises a spacing surface arranged between the spring surface and the tilt axis and / or the frame for keeping the spring surface of the tilt axis and / or the frame at a distance.
It is advantageous to provide a distance plane between the tilt axis and the spring surface if the trampoline is placed near a wall. In such situations there is a risk of accidentally jumping against the wall when using the trampoline. The safety of the use of the trampoline is thus improved by providing a spacing surface.
In addition, the distance surface provides room for assistance with the jumps of a person on the jumping surface.
A spring surface is also generally suspended from the frame by means of a suspension, such as spring means. Such a distance surface can also function to cover the suspension.
In a further preferred embodiment, the width of the distance surface perpendicular to the tilt axis is at least 70 centimeters, preferably at least 90 centimeters.
When using the trampoline near a wall, it is furthermore ensured in this way that there is a sufficient distance between the jumping surface and the wall. This further improves the safety of use. Moreover, this creates the possibility of assistance on the trampoline.
In a preferred embodiment, the trampoline comprises hoisting means, for hoisting the tilting axis and thereby tilting the frame.
By providing the trampoline with lifting means, the frame can be tilted in a simple manner and with less effort. These hoisting means preferably hoist in a substantially vertical direction on the tilting axis, whereby the frame is tilted in an efficient manner.
The hoisting means can be designed in various forms, such as, for example, by means of one or more chains, (hydraulic) cylinders, an attachment to at least one axis with a screw-turning mechanism, et cetera.
In a preferred embodiment, the hoisting means comprise at least one belt, which belt is arranged with one end on a spool and with the other end on the frame near the tilt axis.
By using tires, it is possible to tilt the frame easily along the tilt axis. In addition, tires offer the advantage that they can be stored in a relatively compact manner, for example on a spool.
In a preferred embodiment, the hoisting means comprise a connecting shaft with spools arranged spaced apart from each other on the connecting shaft.
The use of spools has the advantage, in particular with hoisting means such as belts and / or chains, that the hoisting means can easily be stored on the connecting shaft. Moreover, control of the hoisting means can be provided via the connecting shaft, whereby the coils arranged on the connecting shaft hoist at the same speed. In this way the force is also distributed over the length of the connecting axis and thus the tilt axis. This reduces the chance that the hoisting means and thereby the frame may be skewed or even blocked.
Incidentally, it is also possible to use one or more coils, possibly arranged on a connecting shaft, when only one band or chain is used.
In a preferred embodiment, the hoisting means comprise a torsion sensor for detecting loss of tension on at least one of the hoisting means and a blockage connected to the torsion sensor, for blocking the hoisting means on detecting the loss of tension.
With trampolines with tires and / or chains, it can happen that during the use of the lifting equipment there is a loss of tension on the lifting equipment. As a result, the trampoline can make sudden and sometimes unpredictable movements. To guarantee the safety of the trampoline, the trampoline can be equipped with a torsion sensor. This torsion sensor can for instance be arranged along a connecting axis, and can completely or partially block these lifting means when detecting a loss of tension on the hoisting means.
If the trampoline is already provided with locking means for other purposes, it is possible to connect the torsion sensor to these locking means in order to achieve a blockage in the event of loss of tension.
In a preferred embodiment, the trampoline comprises fastening means, suitable for fastening the trampoline to a wall, ceiling and / or floor.
The frame can for instance be fixed by means of guides present on the trampoline, the connecting axis, the locking means, or means connected thereto.
In this way, the trampoline can be stored easily, compactly and safely by tilting the frame after use. Because the frame can hereby be stored in an easily accessible place, the trampoline usually remains easily accessible.
In the foregoing description, a substantially rectangular frame and a substantially rectangular jumping surface are assumed. However, it is also possible that the frame and / or the jumping surface has a different shape, for example that it is oval or polygonal.
These and other features of the invention are further elucidated with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows in perspective view an embodiment of the invention.
Figure 2 is a side view of a cross-section of the embodiment of the invention according to Figure 1.
Figure 1 shows the trampoline 1 according to the invention, attached to a wall 2. The trampoline 1 is shown here in horizontal position. The trampoline 1 comprises a jumping surface 3, attached to a frame 4 that runs around the jumping surface 3. The jumping surface 3 is placed at a distance from the edge of the frame 4 by means of the distance surface 5.
The frame 4 is herein connected to legs 6, 7, provided with wheels 8, 9. Leg 7 has (and leg 6 in a similar manner) in addition to the hinged arrangement on the frame 4 pivot point 10.
Below the frame 4, the trampoline 1 is provided with a connecting shaft 12. This connecting shaft 12 is arranged in conductors 13, 14 on either side of the frame 4. These conductors are connected to the wall 2 by means of fastening means 15, 16. in the guides 13, 14, the connecting shaft 12 is provided with wheels 17, as can be seen from Figure 2.
The connecting shaft 12 and the legs 6, 7 are connected to each other via control rods 18. In figure 1 it is shown that control rod 18 is pivotally connected at one end to leg 7 and at the other end is pivotally connected to connecting shaft 12. Also between the connecting shaft 12 and the frame 4 are an auxiliary rod 19 which is also hinged on both sides. In this way, parts of the frame 4, leg 7, control rod 18 and auxiliary rod 19 form a parallelogram-shaped rod system. In this way it is achieved in combination with guides 13, 14 that when the frame 4 is tilted from the horizontal position as shown to a more vertical position, the legs 6, 7 remain substantially in the same vertical position and thereby support the trampoline.
In Figure 1, part of the spacer surface 5 has been omitted. In this way it is visible that the connecting shaft 12 runs parallel to the wall 2 and the frame 4 up to the opposite side, where the connecting shaft 12 is connected to leg 6 (not shown).
For tilting the frame 4, the trampoline 1 is provided with hoisting belts 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26. These hoisting belts 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 are connected at one end to the frame 4 and connected at the other end to coils 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32. These coils are connected to a hoisting axle 33, connected to the wall 2 by means of wall mounts 34, 35, 36, 37.
The hoisting axle 33 is herein connected to a drive 38. This drive 38 ensures the transmission of a force to the hoisting axle 33 and thereby the rolling up or unrolling of the belts 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 on the spools 27. 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and thus the tilting of the frame 4. This drive 38, which can be operated via an operation (not shown), is also provided with a block (not shown) for blocking the tires 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 in any desired position. This makes it possible to also use the trampoline 1 at any desired angle of the frame 4 relative to floor 20. This blocking is also used to block the trampoline 1 in the event of loss of tension on the tires 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26.
These aspects of the invention are further explained in Figure 2. Here, the trampoline 1 is shown with frame 4 at an oblique angle relative to floor 20 and wall 2. It is also striking that both the connecting shaft 12 and the frame 4 are arranged in the guide 13 by means of wheels 17, 39.
